YOU MUST BE AN INTERNAL USER WITH MANAGE USER AND ADMIN PERMISSIONS TO ACCESS THIS FEATURE

 

THIS FEATURE ALLOWS YOU TO SELECT WHICH STATUSES A USER WITH EDIT PERMISSIONS DOES NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO SELECT OR UN-SELECT WHEN EDITING SUBMISSIONS/APPOINTMENTS. 'HIDDEN' STATUSES THAT HAVE BEEN SET BY SOMEONE ELSE WILL STILL BE VIEWABLE TO THESE USERS (UNLESS YOU HAVE IMPLEMENTED A SHOW-INSTEAD STATUS), BUT THESE USERS WILL BE UNABLE TO SELECT 'HIDDEN' STATUSES FROM THE DROPDOWN THEMSELVES, AND WILL ALSO BE UNABLE TO CHANGE THESE STATUSES TO SOMETHING ELSE ONCE THEY HAVE BEEN SET. 

YOU CAN HIDE CERTAIN STATUSES FROM SELECT USER GROUPS BY COMPLETING THE FOLLOWING STEPS: 

  1. Login to ADMIN FastGem. 
  2. Click on 'Config.' 



    Note:  If you have special 'Configuration User' permissions, you will be able to access 'Config' from the front end as well:
  3. Once in Config, click on 'Content Types.' 
  4. In the appropriate Section (Submissions or Work Orders), click on 'Click Here to Edit' next to 'Submission Status' or 'Work Order Status' labels:
  5. Scroll to the status you want to hide and find the 'HIDE from These Groups' column. Select the User Group from whom you wish to 'Hide' the status. 
  6. Click the blue 'Done' button. Then, Click the green 'Save' button to finish.
