ENABLING MASS USER CREATION
*There is an option available to create multiple new users in Fastgem at a time, rather than individually. This article instructs you on how to enable this feature. (Assuming it is not already enabled)
ACCESSING THIS MENU ITEM
TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT MASS CREATE IS ENABLED
When Mass Create is enabled, The 'Create User' option view will look like this: (spreadsheet layout is present)
(*If you do not see the spreadsheet layout, that is how you determine that the feature is NOT enabled)
TO ENABLE FEATURE
You will need to login to Admin Portal. You can access the Admin portal by adding /a to the end of your instance URL. For example, the admin portal of our demo instance is demo.fastgem.net/a
From the menu bar along the top of your screen in Admin, Go to Menus>Main Menu. OR, go to Menus > New Menu, depending on the instance and which menu version you are using. If your FastGem instance was created after December 2022, you will most likely want to go to New Menu. If you are unsure which menu your instance is using, 'Main Menu' or 'New Menu,' please ask FastGem Support and we can tell you.
From the 'Menus' page, click into the 'Search' field and type in 'Create User' (assuming this is what the menu item is called in your instance) to search for that menu item. Click on the Search icon (Magnifying glass) to the right of the 'Search' field. This will find the correct menu item, in order for you to edit.
Once the page loads, click on the 'Create User' menu item displayed on the screen.
Once the menu options page loads, locate the 'Mass Upload' toggle on the screen. It is most likely set to 'No' (If feature is disabled.)
If set to 'No', click and toggle the option to 'Yes'. Then, click 'Save & Close'
