Payroll

  • HOW TO VIEW YOUR WEEKLY PAYROLL AS A REP - Updated 5/28

    1. Login to your FastGem
    2. Hover over 'Reporting' and click on 'Payroll' 
    3. Select and click on the date that you are wanting to lookup Payroll for OR click on the 'Preview icon' to the right of that date  circled in the diagram. With either option, you will see your payroll displayed for that time period. 

     

     

     

  • Adding Rep Adjustments

     

    1. Login to FastGem (Front End) 
    2. Hover Over 'Resources.' Click on 'Utilities.' 
    3. In the 'Description' field, type in the description of the standard fee you would like withheld from each sale for reps onboarded into FastGem. In the 'Effective Date' column, choose the date in which you would like to start withholding this fee. 
  • Editing Commission Details (ADMIN ONLY) (SPECIAL PERMISSIONS)

    YOU MUST BE AN INTERNAL USER WITH'ACCESS ADMIN' AND 'CAN VIEW COMPS' and 'Can Edit Comps' PERMISSIONS TO ACCESS THIS FEATURE! 

  • Editing Individual Rep Commissions

    *You must have 'Edit Comps' Permission in FastGem to access the features involved in this training video. Please reach out to your FastGem's admin to further inquire. 

  • Editing Snapshot Payroll- NEW RELEASE!

    • **You must have the 'Payroll Admin' permission assigned in order to access this feature. 

     

    • ** To review information on how to access and utilize 'Snapshot Payroll', please see the help topic titled 'Taking a Snapshot of Payroll'. 

     

    • Login to your FastGem. Hover over 'Reporting', and click on 'Payroll.' This will bring you to your Snapshot history of Payroll. 
    • To add notes to a particular rep(s) payroll, click the 'Edit' icon to the right of the snapshot date you are wanting to add to.
    • Click on the green 'Plus sign' icon to the right of the 'Notes' section. In the dropdown box titled 'Rep', selec the rep whose payroll you want to add the note to. Then, click into the box to the right and type the note you wish to relay. When you are done, click 'Save'. 
    • You should now see the note reflected on the person's payroll in which you edited. 
    • You can also click the 'Trash Can' icon to delete snapshots to override them.
    • By clicking the 'Preview' icon (Eyeball), you can also get a preview of the snapshot instead of clicking into it. 
  • Payroll Training

  • Problem: Account doesn't show up in payroll.

    Problem: Account doesn't show up in payroll. 

    Resolution: Check payment cleared status and date. Make sure Payment Cleared date is shown. 

    1. From Front- end, Click on 'Appointments' tab. Type the name of the customer in search bar. Hit the 'Enter' key on your keyboard. Click on customer name to go to link to submission page for that customer. 




    2. Click the 'Edit' button. 


    3. View the 'Payment Cleared Date' field. 

    4. Double click into field to make it editable, and type in the corresponding 'Payment Cleared' date as it should appear. Then, click 'Save' button. 



    5. Click into 'Payroll' tab, click 'Refresh', and you should now see the correct data. 

     

  • Problem: Downline Override Not showing in Payroll

    Problem: Downline not showing in payroll

    Resolution:

     

    1. Login to FastGem(Admin). Click to manage users.


     

    2. Click on Corresponding rep whose downline is not showing in payroll. 


    3. You should be in the 'FastGem' tab of the following page.


    4. Scroll to 'Receive Downline Override.'



     

    5. Toggle to 'Yes'. 


    6. Click 'Save & Close'. 


     

    7. Check Front end to confirm issue has been resolved. 

     

  • Problem: Override/Downline amount in Payroll is '$0'

    Problem:Override/Downline amount in Payroll is '$0'

    Resolution (1 of 2)

    1. Login to Admin FastGem. Click on 'Users' tab at top of screen. Click on 'Manage'. 

    2. Find user name in which Override/downline is assigned to. Click on name link. 

    3. Click on 'Fast Gem' tab on following page. 

    4. Scroll to 'Viewable Sales Reps.' (where the arrow is pointing)  Be sure original sales rep responsible for the sale is added to the area inside of circle. 

    5. Click on Save and Close.
       
    6. Confirm resolution of problem in FastGem (Front end) Payroll section. 

     

    Resolution (2 of 2): 

    1. In Payroll section, click on the rep record for the sales rep responsible for the main commission on the account. 

    Click on 'Edit' button. Scroll to the appropriate package name assigned to the sale. 

    View columns to the right of the consistent package name. Click into box underneath 'OVER/DOVER' (High, Low, Med), and type in the correct amount of override/Downline that sales leader should receive for this credit risk/package. 

    Click. Save. Click 'Payroll' tab. Refresh. Confirm problem is resolved. Proceed. 

     

     

     

  • Set up a BASE Automatic Deduction Fee Amount for Cleared Accounts . (BACK END ONLY)

     

     

     

    THIS FEATURE ALLOWS YOU TO SET UP A BASE FEE TO BE AUTOMATICALLY DEDUCTED FROM EACH REP'S SALE COMMISSION THAT IS ONBOARDED.

    TO SET A DIFFERENT AMOUNT FOR A SPECIFIC REP- PLEASE SEE ARTICLE TITLED "How To: Set up Auto Deduction Fee PER REP" 

     

    1. Login to ADMIN FastGem. 
    2. Click 'Config.'
       
    3. Click on 'Default' tab.
    4. Scroll to the field titled 'Auto Rep Deduction Per Account 'Cleared Order'. Enter the BASE amount you would like held out of each rep's commission per sale. Click 'Save.' 
  • Setting an appointment/work order up for Payroll

    1. Login to FastGem (Front end). Click on 'Appointments' 
    2. Click on the name of the customer you need to send to the upcoming payroll. 
    3. Click on 'Edit Item' button. 
    4. Locate the 'Appt Status' dropdown box. Switch into 'Payment Cleared' Status.
